History


The iPhone is an internet-based multimedia mobile phone manufactured by Apple Incorporation. In the early 2007 apple announced for iPhone and after several months rumors company marketed iPhone. The apple iPhone was initially introduced on June 29, 2007 in the USA and then in other countries. With some extra ordinary and luxurious features which includes multi-touch screen with virtual keyboard and buttons, portable media player, visual voicemail, along with internet service of e-mail, web browsing and local Wi-fi connectivity. With the huge list of carriers it is best quad-band mobile phone with GSM standard.


Features


The Apple iPhone allows many functions such as call holding, caller ID, call merging and conferencing along with integration with other cellular network features. Some new function are also introduced such as if a music is playing on iPhone and user receive a call then songs automatically fades out as call ends song fades in automatically. The iPhone consist on a visual voicemail feature which allow user so see all current voicemail on screen and unlike other systems messages can be easily deleted by choosing it from screen. Some service provider such as AT&T, Orange, T-Mobile and O2 make some changes according to their system for this voicemail feature. In September 5, 2007 apple introduced another function on the iPhone in USA which allow user to create custom ringtone from their iTunes library with some fee equal to song price, this facility is not available in other countries where iPhone has been released. User can also create custom ring tone with Apple software. Some multimedia features included to facilitate user through which user can easily sort its list of songs, artist, playlists, composer and lots more on-screen with large fonts. It also allow user to see TV shows and films with double tapping which allows switching between wide-screen and full screen video platback.


Internet accessibility is available on the iPhone when it is connected to Wi-Fi or wide area EDGE network. Through the modified version of safari web browser now iPhone is able to access WWW and web pages can be seen either landscape or portrait mode with zooming by pinching or through fingertips on screen. iPhone provide complete e-mail function with HTML support to embed photos and an e-mail message. Microsoft Excel and Microsoft World can be seen on the phone along with PDF.


Apple iPhone carries some other features such as 2.0 megapixel camera, autofocus for still photos, through the multi-touch interface user can zoom “in or out” the pictures by pinching on screen easily. Built in Bluetooth, test messaging in mailbox format, email forwarding, drafts and some other features can be access by safari based applications which commonly known as “Web Apps”.



Hardware Features


Hardware features of Apple iPhone are great and make it much attractive as it carries 3.5 in liquid crystal display with touch screen capacitive. User friendly interface allow user to select sub-selection and co-selection from right to left from system menu buttons. All audio latest features are included in microphone such as play, pause and skip track, receive calls or end calls without touching phone.


The Apple iPhone features rechargeable battery which is not user-replaceable if battery life time ends then user can return iPhone if it is in warranty. The capacity of battery is seven hours for video and 8 hours for talk time depending on configurations. The Apple iPhone SIM card is located on the top of phone in a slot. It is easy now to get unlock iphone with complete iphone accessories. Initially iPhone released with internal storage of 4GB or 8GB but later on 4 GB discontinued and apple announce for 16 GB model and now 32 GB is also available in market.
